HOT OFF THE PRESS

Everyone else has already been along to record the laid up ships at Bex Quay in Middlesbrough Dock Cut, so today was my turn to catch up!

Oh, how I wish photo technology had leapfrogged ship development technology by about 50 years! Would have had a field day recording some of the ships in the river during the 1960s onwards!

This is a x17 magnification (and then only circa half-frame size) of the VOLANTIS at Cargo Fleet Wharf taken from Middlesbrough Dock Cut. The first one, somewhat obscured, was taken from the footbridge across the locks, the second using a convenient platform to see over fencing at the far end of the Middlesbrough FC Riverside football stadium.
